Glennand June Stevenson of Woodland Hills celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 25 with 41 family members and friends at a champagne brunch at the Odyssey Restaurant in Granada Hills.

Glenn came to Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  from Texas in 1935. While attending a Baptist church in Long Beach, Glenn saw June singing in the choir and liked what he saw. The couple was married in Long Beach in 1940.

During World War II, Glenn was needed by the aircraft industry for his tool-and-dye-making skills. During those years he worked for North American Aviation North American Aviation was a major US aircraft manufacturer. The company was responsible for a number of historic aircraft, including the T-6 Texan trainer, the P-51 Mustang fighter, the B-25 Mitchell bomber, the F-86 Sabre jet fighter, and the X-15 rocket plane, as well as Apollo  and on Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose; toward the end of the war, he worked on instruments at the naval dry dock.

 and importing business. Glenn was the sales representative, and June did the bookkeeping.

The couple has one son, Jon Stevenson Jonathan Stevenson (born October 13 1982 in Leicester, England) is a professional footballer, currently playing for Conference North side Boston United, where he plays as a striker.

This small, pacy striker started his career with home town side Leicester City as a trainee.

For their 50th anniversary, the couple traveled throughout Europe. They have also been to Hong Kong, Alaska, all the Hawaiian Islands and many parts of Mexico. For the past five years, they have concentrated their traveling in the United States.
