JUBILEES : SOLDIER MAKES QUICK DECISION.

John and Thais Klembara of Reseda celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a cruise to Mexico in July. They were accompanied by their two daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia and Bob Hovious and Susie and Bob Zweigler; granddaughter Lori Petsco and her husband, Doug; and grandson Skip Hovious and his wife, Joanne - all from the Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964. Avocados, citrus, vegetables, strawberries, and nursery products are grown.  area.

John, who served in the Pacific with the U.S. Army during World War II, was introduced to Thais by his mother in the winter of 1946 soon after his discharge from service. Within an hour of that first meeting, John leaned over, kissed Thais on the cheek and said, ``Someday you and I will be married!'' On July 1, 1948, the two were married in their hometown of Shamokin, Penn.

The Klembaras moved to Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  in 1949 and have lived in their Reseda home ever since.

John worked for General Motors in Van Nuys for 35 years and in his retirement enjoys gardening and membership in the San Fernando San Fernando, city, Argentina

Thais is a member of the Elks Emblem Club and enjoys the Christian Women's Club Women’s clubs first arose in the United States during the post-civil war period. As a result of increased leisure time due to modern household advances, middle class women had more time to engage in intellectual pursuits.  and playing cards. Both are members of the Christian Church of the Hills in Agoura.

The Klembaras, who have been to Europe, Australia, New Zealand New Zealand (zē`lənd), island country (2005 est. pop. 4,035,000), 104,454 sq mi (270,534 sq km), in the S Pacific Ocean, over 1,000 mi (1,600 km) SE of Australia. The capital is Wellington; the largest city and leading port is Auckland. , the Caribbean, Hawaii and Alaska, have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
