JUBILEES : FIFTH TIME THE CHARM FOR VALLEY COUPLE.Ruth and Ben Pelter of Sherman Oaks celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Cafe Bellissimo in Woodland Hills. The celebration was hosted by their children - son Bill and daughter-in-law Maureen Pelter; son Mark Pelter and his fiancee, Bronwyn Falcona; daughter Madeline and son-in-law La Mont Simonaro - and grandsons Justin West and James Simonaro. Ninety-five family members and friends attended and witnessed the couple's renewal of their wedding vows, officiated by their son, Mark. This was the couple's fifth marriage ceremony: for the first, they eloped; the second was a religious ceremony; the third was during a Marriage Encounter retreat; the fourth was at their 35th anniversary; and now for their 50th.
