The couple met at a party, dated for seven or eight months and were married in Las Vegas on Oct. 24, 1948. Robert is a retired Los Angeles Senior Building and Safety inspector. He was active in the Sherman Oaks National Little League, and due to his active participation and dedication to the league, Bozick Field in Sherman Oaks was named for him. Ruth was a homemaker and mother to the couple's three children - Karen Coxe of Ione, Calif.; Robert of Tyler, Texas; and Gary of West Hollywood - and served as Cub Scout den mother and Girl Scout troop leader. She is a longtime member of the 12th Church of Christ, Scientist Church of Christ, Scientist: see Christian Science. , in Van Nuys.
