The guests numbered 65 family members and friends and included Dorothy's mother, Iva Van Klaveren and the couple's 12 grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations. The children of one's children. The Besches met in 1940 in Aurora, Ill., when they were both 15.
John served three years in the U.S. Army during World War II.
The couple were married in Aurora and moved to California in 1948 where they raised their children.
Dorothy was a homemaker and worked for the Broadway department store (Panorama City) as a sales associate and in other positions. She retired in 1996 after 25 years and nowadays enjoys playing bridge twice a week.
John retired in 1989 from Elect/Air Tool Company in Burbank (now in Ontario) after 41 years in many positions and various reponsibilities.
