JUBILEES : A SMOOTH-SAILING CELEBRATION.


Wayne and Madeline Wirtz of Granada Hills celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with three events: They took a cruise to Vancouver, Victoria, Seattle and other Pacific Northwest ports with two of their five children - eldest daughter, Barbara and husband Michael Wasnea of Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969. , and eldest son, Jerry and wife Karen, also of Simi Valley. This was followed by an intimate dinner with all five children and their spouses at the Smoke House in Toluca Lake. Then, in the presence of 100 guests at the Odyssey Restaurant in Granada Hills, the couple renewed their wedding vows with Monsignor Peter O'Sullivan, retired monsignor of St. John the Baptist John the Baptist

 de la Salle De La Salle is the name of several educational institutions affiliated with the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, also known as the Lasallian Brothers, a Roman Catholic religious teaching order founded by French priest Saint Jean-Baptiste de la Salle:
 Church in Granada Hills.

During World War II, Wayne served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific aboard the USS Saratoga Six United States Navy ships have borne the name Saratoga, after the important Battle of Saratoga in the American Revolutionary War.
  • The first Saratoga was a 16-gun sloop launched in 1780 and lost at sea the following year.

Madeline worked as a manager of a party shop in Granada Hills for 12 years before retiring in 1989.

In addition to daughter Barbara and son Jerry, the couple are the parents of son Lenny of Saugus, daughter Laura Schroeder of West Hills and son Cliff of Moorpark. They have eight grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations. The children of one's children. Sometimes these may claim bequests given in a will to children, though in general they can make no such claim. 6 Co. 16. , with a ninth one expected momentarily.
