Clifford and Lillian Wolf of Woodland Hills celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at a dinner for family and friends hosted by the couple's son and daughter - Michael Wolf of Berlin, Germany, and Stephanie Ricketts of Granada Hills - and Lillian's sister, Gloria Falco, at Falco's Woodland Hills home.

The Wolfs met in 1940 when Cliff crashed a surprise birthday party for Lillian given by her sorority sisters. She was then attending Brooklyn College; Cliff was a student at New York University New York University, mainly in New York City; coeducational; chartered 1831, opened 1832 as the Univ. of the City of New York, renamed 1896. It comprises 13 schools and colleges, maintaining 4 main centers (including the Medical Center) in the city, as well as the .

During World War II, Cliff served as a meteorologist with the U.S. 12th Weather Squadron in North Africa and Europe, while Lillian worked as a translator for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in both Washington, D.C., and New York City New York City: see New York, city.
