Al and Lee Knell knell

v.tr.
 celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with 60 relatives and friends at a dinner party in their Chatsworth home. It was hosted by their sons and daughters-in-law - Dick and Roz Knell of Chatsworth; Bill and Joyce Knell of Northridge; and Bob and Jacki Knell of Claremont.

Lee was born in Waukeegan, Ill.; Al in Youngstown, Ohio

Youngstown is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Mahoning County. The municipality is situated on the Mahoning River, approximately 65 miles (105 km) southeast of Cleveland and

The two met at a dance. They did not start dating until a year later and married when the Great Depression was in full swing.

Al served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was stationed in the Solomon Islands Solomon Islands, independent Commonwealth nation (2005 est. pop. 538,000), c.15,500 sq mi (40,150 sq km), SW Pacific, E of New Guinea. The islands that constitute the nation of the Solomon Islands—Guadalcanal, Malaita, New Georgia, the Santa Cruz Islands,  during World War II.

A self-employed businessman for most of his life, he recently retired from Big Al's Pet Food Warehouse in Granada Hills, which he founded at age 80.

Lee is an avid gardener whose green thumb is considered by family members and friends to be able to coax a stick to grow. She was a volunteer in the Encino Hospital gift shop until a year ago.

The Knells, who lived in North Hollywood from 1963 until last year, when they moved to Chatsworth, have nine grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations. The children of one's children. Sometimes these may claim bequests given in a will to children, though in general they can make no such claim. 6 Co. 16.  and eight great-grandchildren.
