JUBILEES; FIRST DANCE LED TO LIFE TOGETHER.

Byline: - Mary Vose

Frank and Antoinette Cicerello of Valencia celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 25 at the Hyatt of Valencia with 25 family members and friends.

The couple come from large families and grew up in Milwaukee's Little Italy section. They officially began dating after meeting at a dance when they were 21. During their first dance together, Frank boldly announced to Antoinette that he was going to marry her. He did more than three years later, on Sept. 24, 1938.

The Cicerellos, who lived in Milwaukee for 83 years, moved to Valencia in May 1997. It was important for them to be near their son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Mary Grace of Valencia, grandson Frank and his wife Tami, and great-granddaughter Jasmin of Saugus. They also wanted to be here when granddaughter Toni, who lives in Dallas, visited.

It was in December 1996, while visiting out here, that Frank became ill and suffered congestive heart failure. Unconscious in the intensive-care ward for three days, he awoke on Christmas Day to tell his family that God wasn't ready for him yet and that while he was unconscious he saw angels all around him.
