. The Rennpferd's son Keith and daughter-in-law Debbi of Camarillo and son Gary of Chatsworth accompanied them on the cruise.
The two were both born and raised in Milwaukee. They attended the same high school but didn't know one other.
During World War II, Herb was in the U.S. Army Air Corps for three years, serving in the China-Burma-India area for two of them. After his discharge, he and Dorothy were introduced by their parents, who were friends.

Bowling and gardening are their hobbies, but traveling is their love. In 1985, they traveled by car for five weeks throughout Europe; after they both retired, they drove through every state in the U.S. twice.
