For its exceptional leasing, management and advisory services as a WBE firm, JRT Realty Group, Inc. has been selected by the National Minority Business Council (NMBC) to receive the 2002 Outstanding Minority Business Award.

JRT is being recognized for its accomplishments in negotiating more than $1 billion in sales and retail transactions during the course of the past 18 months. JRT's major client is Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (TIAA) for whom, in conjunction with Insignia/ESG, it manages and leases a 5-million-SF national portfolio of commercial properties. A luncheon sponsored by AOL Time Warner will be held in Manhattan at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers on Feb. 25 to honor all NMBC winners. Jodi Pulice, president of JRT, will accept the award on behalf of her company.

Pulice, a 21-year veteran of the New York real estate market, heads up JRT's leasing and management, efforts. Throughout her career, Pulice has specialized in representing owners and tenants alike, handling exclusive agency assignments totaling more than 5 million SF.

She is assisted in this effort by JRT's executive managing director, Greg Smith. In 1998, JRT and Insignia/ESG formed a strategic alliance, the first of its kind in New York City, which combines the leasing, management and advisory services of JRT, a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), with the vast brokerage, research, sales and property management capabilities of Insignia/ESG.
