JR Central to Set up Automated External Defibrillators at Four Major Stations.


Tokyo, Japan, Nov 8, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Central Japan Railway (JR Central) will install automated external defibrillators automated external defibrillator Emergency medicine A portable device designed for use by first-response personnel for out-of-hospital emergency treatment of Pts suffering from cardiac arrest. See First-response personnel.  (AEDs) at four major stations on its premises, namely Tokyo, Shizuoka, Nagoya and Shin-Osaka, by the end of March 2006.

AED AED - Automated Engineering Design  deployment will help the railway company prepare for emergencies.

Further, JR Central plans to introduce AEDs to other stations that are used by a large number of people as well as Shinkansen bullet train stations.
