JOINT VENTURE TO COMMERCIALIZE SEPARATION PROCESSING EQUIPMENT

 ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- AmClyde Engineered Products, Inc., of St. Paul, and Intercane World Corporation Ltd. of Edmonton, Alberta, today announced the formation of a joint venture to market, manufacture and service a proprietary line of Sugarcane Separation Processing Equipment. The joint venture, represented by AmCane International, Inc. will design, sell, install and support this equipment worldwide.
 Wayne R. Long, AmCane General Manager, said, "The AmCane joint venture will exploit our proven Sugarcane Separation Technology which is already in operation in an existing commercial scale facility in Jamaica and pilot scale facilities in India, South Africa and Taiwan."
 In addition to providing a viable commercial approach to sugar production, Long cites the diversification opportunities and commercial potential of new useful by-products derived from the raw materials resulting from the Cane Separation Technology:
 -- High grade pulp for the paper industry
 -- Structural board for the construction industry
 -- Animal feeds and dietary fiber for human consumption
 -- Charcoal, beverages, waxes, and other products
 "Furthermore, the Sugarcane Separation Technology is an environmentally friendly process, producing raw materials from annually renewable resources," Long stated.
 AmClyde is the world's premier designer and builder of large specialty equipment for lifting, pulling, moving and mooring heavy loads for the offshore construction and material handling industries. AmClyde's team of 230 highly experienced technical people will support AmCane's ability to manufacture and deliver Sugarcane Separation Systems worldwide. Intercane holds exclusive rights to the proprietary Sugarcane Separation Technology and has worked for several years to enhance and prove the commercial utility of the process.
