JOHN SCULLEY ACCEPTS POST AS CHAIRMAN AND CEO OF SPECTRUM TECHNOLOGIES

 MANHASSET, N.Y., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Spectrum Information Technologies, Inc. ("Spectrum") (NASDAQ-NMS: SPCL), which holds patented technology for transmitting data over cellular systems, announced that John Sculley, former CEO of Apple Computer and PepsiCola Company, has agreed to accept the position of chairman and chief executive officer of Spectrum. Mr. Sculley was recruited to Spectrum by Peter Caserta, the present CEO of Spectrum, who will remain at Spectrum as vice chairman and president.
