 FAIRFIELD, Conn., Dec. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The following is a statement of John F. Welch, Jr., chairman and CEO, General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), in response to inquiries regarding news reports of the appointment of Zoe Baird as U.S. Attorney General:
