JNCs invite applications for 17 new statewide.

Call it 15 down and 17 to go. But whatever the label, judicial nominating commissions around Florida are gearing up to fill the second batch of new judgeships approved by the legislature earlier this year.

 a total, of 32 new judgeships in the spring, specifying that 15 were to be advertised no sooner than August 1, and the remainder no sooner than October 1. In this round, JNCs will be interviewing applicants for one district court of appeal judge, 12 circuit judgeships and four, county judgeships.

The vacancies are for one seat on the Fifth DCA (1) (Document Content Architecture) IBM file formats for text documents. DCA/RFT (Revisable-Form Text) is the primary format and can be edited. DCA/FFT (Final-Form Text) has been formatted for a particular output device and cannot be changed. , two circuit vacancies each in the Fifth, Sixth and 19th circuits, one circuit vacancy VACANCY. A place which is empty. The term is principally applied to cases where an office is not filled.

 chairs and on the Bar's Internet site, FLABAR Online ( To get an application online, go to the site and then click on the Organization item from the menu on the left side of the page. When the new page comes up, click on Standing Committees on the left hand menu, and then select the Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee from the following page.

At the top of the JNC Procedures Committee page is a hypertext hypertext, technique for organizing computer databases or documents to facilitate the nonsequential retrieval of information. Related pieces of information are connected by preestablished or user-created links that allow a user to follow associative trails across the  link to the application page. The applications, are in the PDF (Portable Document Format) The de facto standard for document publishing from Adobe. On the Web, there are countless brochures, data sheets, white papers and technical manuals in the PDF format. , PKZIP and EXE Exe (ĕks), river, c.55 mi (90 km) long, rising in the Exmoor, Somerset, SW England, and flowing S across the Cornwall peninsula, past Exeter to the English Channel at Exmouth.  formats, and there are directions for accessing the documents in each of the three formats, along with links for any additional software necessary. " documents which include the program to extract the documents in WordPerfect format. Instructions for, doing this are on the website.

The page also has a link to download To receive a file transmitted over a network. In any communications session, "download" means receive, and "upload" means send. The download/upload often implies a big/little scenario, in which data is being downloaded from the "big" server into the "little" user's computer.  the Adobe Acrobat Document exchange software from Adobe that allows documents to be displayed and printed the same on every computer. The Acrobat system created the Portable Document Format (PDF), which is widely used in commercial printing and on the Web. See PDF.  program necessary to read PDF documents.

While the applications, can be found and downloaded online, they cannot be submitted electronically. Applicants must still deliver or mail 10 copies of their applications with required additional attachments to the JNC chair or designated contact person by 5 p.m. on the dates noted below. Applicants should also contact the person noted in the chart to find out any additional requirements of that JNC.
