JMAR Showcases Modular Britelight System at Photonics West 2005 Exhibition.

SAN DIEGO -- JMAR JMAR Joint Medical Asset Repository  Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: JMAR) is showcasing its Modular Britelight(TM) Solid State Laser System at the Photonics West 2005 Exhibition from January 25 to 27, 2005 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, CA. The Britelight(TM) System is a high-performance laser source for researchers and engineers in academic, homeland security, military and manufacturing settings requiring either a point design laser or a versatile laser system capable of future augmentation.

The Modular Britelight(TM) System is gaining traction within its target markets. A Korean university recently purchased a basic configuration of the system with the option to upgrade to higher power levels during their next budget cycle. The Korean contract follows the August 2004 delivery of JMAR's Britelight(TM) System to the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories (LLNL LLNL - Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory ) to condition laser crystals used by the National Ignition Facility The National Ignition Facility, or NIF, is a high-energy, high-power laser research device under construction at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, in Livermore, California. , a 192-beam laser system under construction at LLNL. The Britelight(TM) System has also demonstrated success in increasing bio-detection throughput when used with an optical parametric oscillator An optical parametric oscillator (OPO) is an parametric oscillator which oscillates at optical frequencies. It converts an input laser wave (called "pump") into two output waves of lower frequency (  (OPO) as a part of an SBIR SBIR Small Business Innovation Research (program/grant)

"By offering our proprietary Britelight(TM) technology in a modular design, we are enabling potential users to choose a laser source solution that precisely meets their current requirements - with the option of building out the system as needs and circumstances change," said Ronald A. Walrod, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of JMAR. "Photonics West gives us the opportunity to introduce this modular system to our target customers in research, security and manufacturing, while engaging in an open exchange of ideas with others in the industry."
