JLW negotiates for Kidder Peabody.

Jones Lang Wootton, the international real estate advisory firm, has negotiated a new 10-year lease consisting of 41,287 square feet on behalf of client Kidder, Peabody & Co. Incorporated at the Wells Fargo Center in downtown Los Angeles. Tom Miller, a Director in JLW's Los Angeles office and Mark Ravesloot, a JLW Director based in New York, jointly arranged the transaction. Kidder will occupy contiguous floors 23 and 24 in the 2.4 million square feet mixed-use complex located at the center of the Bunker Hill office district. The project was originally developed by Maguire Thomas Partners.

Tenants at Wells Fargo Center include amongst others: Wells Fargo Bank; Chemical Bank; Goldman, Sachs & Co; Fuji Bank; Deloitte Haskins & Sells; Gibson Dunn & Crutcher; and Marubeni Corporation.

The 54-story Wells Fargo Bank Building, totaling 1.3 million square feet and the 45-story IBM Tower consisting of 1.1 million square feet of office space, are linked by the tree-lined Wells Fargo Plaza which features a Black aluminum sculpture entitled "Night Sail" by Louise Nevelson. The center of the plaza offers 60,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space surrounding an interior garden created by eminent landscape architect Lawrence Halprin.
