JLL stamps its footprint in Westchester market.

McCarthy Associates, a well-known commercial real estate brokerage firm serving the Westchester and Fairfield County markets, has joined Jones Lang LaSalle to establish a presence in this region for the company.

The move is the latest in a series of expansion efforts by Jones Lang LaSalle, and gives the global real estate services firm a strong presence in both Westchester and Fairfield counties. McCarthy Associates is a full-service commercial real estate firm with offices in White Plains, NY and Stamford, CT.

The move will allow Jones Lang LaSalle to provide clients in this region access to its fully integrated real estate service offerings including leasing, property management, project and development management, capital markets and investment sales, hotel advisory and facilities management.

John R. McCarthy, a key player in the commercial real estate market in the Westchester/Fairfield region for 28 years, will lead Jones Lang LaSalle's Westchester and Fairfield county offices as a managing director of the firm. Prior to establishing McCarthy Associates Inc. in 1990, McCarthy was a Senior Vice President and Partner of Rostenberg-Doern Company Inc. in White Plains and Stamford.

McCarthy, who has handled transactions totaling more than 6.5 million square feet of space in his career as an owners and tenant representative, represented clients such as, Morgan Stanley, with the purchase of the 725,000 square foot former Texaco's corporate headquarters in Purchase, NY, represented MetLife for 12 years as owners agent for 790,000 RSF at White Plains Plaza and closing a 340,000 RSF deal with Prodigy Ser vices Company. Other major clients represented by McCarthy are Apple Computer, Solomon Smith Barney, Blue Cross, Blue Shield and Merrill Lynch.

Joining McCarthy as sales associates at the new Jones Lang LaSalle offices will be Tim Donohue and Kevin McCarthy.

Donohue joined McCarthy Associates in 2003 and Kevin McCarthy joined in 2005. Jones Lang LaSalle plans to add more than 10 additional brokers to the office during the next 18 months.
