Jones Lang LaSalle was recently appointed exclusive leasing agent for over 30,000 s/f of data center space at 33 Washington Street in Newark, New Jersey. The team of Executive Vice President Jonathan Meisel out of the Parsippany office, Vice President Dan DePalma and Leasing Associate Sumner Putnam out of the Metropark office, are marketing the space on behalf of the landlord, Savitar Realty Advisors.

Available data center space includes 22,000 s/f of space on the fifth floor and 8,800 s/f on the sixth floor of 33 Washington Street, a 435,000-square-foot, 20-story office building.

"Newark's exceptional power and fiber infrastructure, and its highly accessible transportation system makes for an ideal back operations data center for many Manhattan companies," stated Jonathan Meisel. "This outstanding ready-to-go facility offers raised floors, CRAC units and over 100 watts-per-square-foot, which data center tenants require today."

The data center space on both the fifth and six floors offers clear ceiling heights of 8 feet 6 inches from the 14-inch raised floor to the drop ceiling. With three primary utility feeds, 5,000 amps are dedicated to the fifth and six floors feeding through a collective buss system. The carrier connectivity room is located on the fifth floor for easy cross-connects. The building features several uninterruptible power supply (LIPS) units that range from 5kVA to 80kVA, and the building is served by Verizon and others using both fiber optic and copper systems. Security includes manned 24/7 security as well as a closed circuit television monitoring system. The facility is within walking distance to mass transit (Midtown Direct) and all major highways throughout northern New Jersey.
