London, Nov 19 (ANI): British author J. K. Rowling has become the new face of Labour's "working class heroes", in its bid to win back voters.

Rowling, 44, who is the creator of the Harry Potter series, was named in a new video released on November 18 designed to show true "Brit grit", reports the Daily Star.

It described the writer as one who "opened rejection letters from her bedsit in Edinburgh with the dream of bringing the pleasure of reading to children".

The broadcast also features famous figures like the early Scots socialist Keir Hardie. (ANI)
