JIM TIDWELL ELECTED GRAPHIC INDUSTRIES VICE PRESIDENT

 ATLANTA, Dec. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Graphic Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: GRPH) today announced that Jim Tidwell has been elected a vice president of the company.
 For the past two years, Tidwell has served as president of Heritage Press, Inc., a Dallas subsidiary of Graphic.
 "This promotion confirms the outstanding contribution Jim Tidwell has made to the progress of the company," said Mark C. Pope III, chairman and chief executive officer of Graphic.
 Tidwell began his career at Edwards and Broughton in 1983 as plant manager and advanced to president of the company. In April 1988, he was named president of Wetmore & Company of Houston, a Graphic subsidiary, and in January 1991, was appointed president of Heritage Press.
 Graphic ranks among the top 25 commercial printing companies in North America with 17 operating companies and a reprographics division with 14 locations serving major markets and customers throughout the United States.
