JETHAWKS ROLL WITH CLOUDE.Byline: Bryan Winchell Special to the Daily News Ken Cloude went seven innings to pick up his 15th win of the year, leading the Lancaster JetHawks to an 11-4 win over host Lake Elsinore Wednesday night. The win moves the JetHawks (65-64 overall, 29-30 in the second half) within 3-1/2 games of Lake Elsinore (69-61, 34-26) in the California League's Southern Division wild-card race with 11 games remaining. Cloude (15-4) allowed one run and four hits, walked four and struck out four. The JetHawks scored four runs in the first inning after the first four batters reached base and pushed the lead to 8-1 after five innings. James Clifford was 3 for 4 with a home run, double and four runs scored and Scott Smith was 2 for 3 with two runs and an RBI to lead Lancaster. |
