JETHAWKS PLUG HOLE IN ROTATION WITH THREE CANDIDATES AT ONCE : JETHAWKS 7, MODESTO 4.

Byline: Chris Cocoles Daily News Staff Writer

The sore spot in the JetHawks' pitching rotation came through Saturday night.

Joe Victery, making his first start of the season, combined with two others who held starting jobs at one time, Kevin Gryboski Kevin John Gryboski (born November 15, 1973 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, U.S.), is a Major League Baseball player with the Pittsburgh Pirates of the National League. Gryboski, a right-handed pitcher, was acquired by the Atlanta Braves in January 2002 and traded to Texas in July of 2005 for  and Aaron Scheffer, to lead the JetHawks past the A's 7-4 at John Thurman Field John Thurman Field is a stadium in Modesto, California. Gryboski, who has been hit hard all season, provided 1-2/3 innings and gave up two runs (one unearned) before leaving the game after he was struck by Tim Jones' line drive.

Scheffer, a part-time starter who like Gryboski has struggled, took the mound and held the A's to a single run over 2-2/3 innings. Rafael Rivera struck out the last two A's and recorded his second save.
