JETBLUE TO ADD FLIGHTS TO, FROM REGION.

BURBANK - JetBlue will add flights between Bob Hope Airport Bob Hope Airport (IATA: BUR, ICAO: KBUR, FAA LID: BUR) is a regional and national airport located in Burbank, California, United States.

It was formerly known as United Airport (1930-1934); Union Air Terminal (1934-1940);
 and two destinations - Orlando, Fla., and Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States.  - and between Long Beach and Sacramento, company officials say.

JetBlue will launch the Long Beach flight May 3 and the additional Bob Hope Airport service June 30. Officials say Orlando and Las Vegas are popular destinations because of their broad entertainment value.

``We're really pleased with the customer demand and the results out of Burbank,'' said JetBlue spokesman Bryan Baldwin. ``It means more convenient service. ... We're able to provide more customers more destinations when flying JetBlue out of Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region, .''

The news comes as Bob Hope Airport officials report a record number of passengers in 2005, attributed in part to JetBlue's nonstop HP's brand name for its fault-tolerant servers, which range in size from four CPUs to 4,000 CPUs. , which began in May and now includes four daily flights. The airline carried 227,713 passengers through Burbank last year.

Also, Delta Air Lines began offering a daily nonstop flight to Atlanta and flights to Salt Lake City through SkyWest in January. Its planes carried 89,887 passengers through Bob Hope in 2005.

Delta's connection with SkyWest to Salt Lake City had 98,488 passengers last year.

``It'll be interesting to watch as they add destinations,'' said airport spokesman Victor Gill gill, in weights and measures
