Jerry's Chairman and Chief Executive Isaac Starkman said the Woodland Hills Solleys will be converted to a Jerry's.

Plans for the Sherman Oaks restaurant have not been determined but the Solleys name may be retained, he said.

Nearly all of Solleys 150 employees will keep their jobs under the new ownership.

Jerry's was attracted to the Solleys Sherman Oaks store - opened in 1984 - because of its bakery, Starkman said.

It could be used to supply Jerry's with bagels and other baked goods.

In addition to the seven stores that will result from the deal, Jerry's plans to open a restaurant next month in Westwood and recently signed a lease for another in Orange County.
