It's from the General Foods Kitchens and uses Jell-O Chocolate Instant Pudding pudding. Early writers on cookery class puddings and dumplings together. The earliest puddings were boiled in a bag or cloth. Later they were placed in a buttered bowl, covered with a cloth, and steamed. The baked or chilled puddings evolved even later.  and Pie Filling.

The cake is simple to make, moist and loaded with chocolate flavor - a great dessert for any occasion.

INSIDE-OUT CHOCOLATE CAKE

1 (4 1/2-ounce) package chocolate flavor INSTANT pudding and pie filling

1 (2-layer size) package devil's food OR chocolate cake mix

1 (12-ounce) package semisweet sem·i·sweet

Having a small amount of sweetening: semisweet chocolate.

Adj. 1. semisweet - having a taste that is a mixture of bitterness and sweetness

 chocolate chips

1 3/4 cups milk

2 eggs

In a bowl, combine pudding mix, cake mix, chocolate chips, milk and eggs. Mix by hand until well blended, about 2 minutes.

Pour into a greased grease

Bake in preheated 350-degree oven 50 to 55 minutes, or until cake springs back when lightly pressed with your finger. Do not overbake.

Cool 15 minutes in pan. Remove from pan. Continue cooling on a rack. Makes 1 cake.

VARIATION: Use 1 (3 3/4-ounce) package chocolate flavor pudding and pie filling. Increase milk to 2 cups. Prepare pudding as directed on package. Combine cake mix with eggs. Mix by hand 1 minute, until well blended. Blend in Verb 1. blend in - blend or harmonize; "This flavor will blend with those in your dish"; "This sofa won't go with the chairs"
