Inprise/Borlands JDataStore 3.5, is a 100 percent Pure Java: Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), providing platform independence and portability in a small-footprint package. It is integrated with JBuilder, Inprise/Borland's Java development tool; provides universal database access for the Java platform via its JDBC drivers and standard SQL; and is embedded into Inprise/Borland Application Server 4 and other commercial products. DataStore is designed to be a complete solution for Java platforms including: mobile computing, Internet applications. Web servers and Application Servers functioning as a server or embedded into "client-side" or remote applications. The product allows developers to write code once, in a faster time, and allows applications to run on any system with JDK 1.1.8 or a Java2 Virtual Machine (JVM).
