JCOR Records Expands Its Roster With Releases From Yosumi Records.

NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--April 3, 2001

Dan Gill, general manager of JCOR Records, today announced the addition of two albums to JCOR's propriety roster through a joint-venture deal with Yosumi Records.

Under the terms of the deal JCOR will release the second album in the "Game Over" series, "Game Over 2," and the next album from New York-based Masta Ace.

Yosumi Records surfaced with the release of the "Game Over" compilation, produced by Yosumi's Domingo and DJ Rob, which consisted of tracks inspired by video games See video game console. . Most notable was the hit single "Super Brooklyn" (better known as the "Super Mario Song"). The song was an underground success story spending weeks at the top of Internet charts such as MP3.com, Hiphop.com and elements.com. The first album under the deal will be "Game Over 2" due out this Spring. Like the first "Game Over," "Game Over 2" features appearances by some of hip-hop's best, including KRS One, Infamous Mobb, Craig Mack, Big Daddy Kane, Masta Ace, Heltah Skeltah and Das EFX.

This June, Yosumi will release the next album from Masta Ace. Although he originally signed to Cold Chillin', Masta Ace's 1993 Delicious Vinyl debut, "Slaughtahouse," catapulted him into national success. In 1994 Masta Ace participated in the title track from Spike Lee's "Crooklyn" Soundtrack with Special Ed and Buckshot buck·shot
