 women's soccer team advanced all the way to the state semifinals and lost a tough game to Long Beach College on penalty kicks, this year's team was off to a slow start, failing to win its first three games.

But on Wednesday it all came together for Pierce, ranked eighth in the state, with a 2-0 win over host Oxnard College Oxnard College is a California-state funded community college located in Oxnard, California. The four-mile race will take place at the Lancaster National Soccer Center.
