JBoss and Novell to Support Novell exteNd Customers Leveraging JBoss Application Server.

JBoss Application Server (or JBoss AS) is a free software / open source Java EE-based application server. Because it is Java-based, JBoss AS is cross-platform, usable on any operating system that Java supports.
. Under the terms of the agreement, Novell will provide technical support for customers deploying on JBoss Application Server, backed by JBoss, Inc. As a JBoss Authorized Service Partner (JASP), Novell will collaborate with JBoss to provide enterprise-level services, such as training, consulting and custom programming, for Novell customers.

The move to provide a full array of support and services for Novell customers using the open source JBoss Application Server reinforces Novell's strategy of offering customers a range of open source alternatives and support for all market-leading platforms. Support for Novell exteNd Novell exteNd is a web application development suite from Novell that provides a visual environment that simplifies the development and deployment of business solutions that exploit existing systems.  on the JBoss Application Server will be available by the end of 2004.
