The two-day event June 17 and 18 at the Hollywood Bowl The Hollywood Bowl is a modern amphitheatre at 2301 North Highland Avenue in Hollywood, California, USA, that is used primarily for music performances. Also, pegged to play June 17 are the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra with vibraphonist Stefon Harris in a tribute to Milt Jackson; Senegalese master musician Baaba Maal with his band Daande Lenol; and the acclaimed Spanish Harlem Orchestra, led by Oscar Hernandez, who is also musical director for Ruben Blades. Day two sees pianist McCoy Tyner and his trio, accompanied by the Lula Washington Dance Theatre; the Preservation Hall Jazz Band; a smooth jazz celebration of the music of Grover Washington Jr., with Gerald Albright, Jeff Lorber and Kirk Whalum; Ozomatli; Latin pianist Eddie Palmieri and his Afro-Caribbean Jazz All-Stars with guests Regina Carter and David Sanchez; and Chuck Mangione.
