JAMES CAVANAUGH TO RETIRE; FRANK McKAY NEW PRESIDENT OF ROCKWELL GRAPHIC SYSTEMS

 SEAL BEACH, Calif., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Rockwell International Corp. (NYSE: ROK) announced that James D. Cavanaugh, president of its Rockwell Graphic Systems (RGS) business, will be retiring this year.
 "Jim has served with distinction for more than 17 years in many key executive roles in Rockwell's Automotive and Graphic Systems businesses," said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Donald R. Beall. "He has helped our Graphics business achieve the world leadership it now enjoys."
 Francis (Frank) J. McKay has been named RGS president, effective immediately, and will report to Beall.
 McKay was executive vice president of Graphic Systems prior to his new appointment. He joined Graphic Systems in 1983 as director of international marketing and rose to the position of vice president and general manager for Rockwell's Newspaper & Commercial Products- Europe prior to assuming the position of executive vice president last year.
 McKay joined Rockwell in 1970 and served in several increasingly responsible management positions including district sales manager- Morse Controls; general manager-Europe-Microelectric Products Division; managing director-Maudslay, Automotive; and managing director-Wilmot-Breden, United Kingdom and Australia.
 In his new position, McKay will serve as a member of the corporation's Senior Management Council.
 During the ensuing months until his retirement, Cavanaugh will work closely with McKay to continue a smooth and successful transition in leadership.
 Rockwell Graphic Systems is a leading manufacturer of web offset presses and supplies a broad line of press equipment to the newspaper and commercial printing industries under the Goss, Baker Perkins and Hantscho names.
