The game, based on id Software's legendary game franchise, is available now in Japan on KIDDI AU. DOOM RPG has been co-developed by id Software and Fountainhead Entertainment.

DOOM RPG is a new take on the world-renowned DOOM franchise, which originally launched in 1994. The game preserves the look, feel and excitement of the original DOOM game, while integrating a tactical, turn-based combat system for easy to learn one-handed gaming. Crafted specifically for mobile phones, DOOM RPG sends players to a secretive Martian research facility to solve the mystery of a massive demonic invasion. DOOM RPG catapults mobile users into 10 levels of hellish mayhem. Players confront 38 vicious enemies, including returning foes such as Pinky Demon, Zombie and Imp, while finding secrets and fulfilling tasks throughout the UAC research facility. With a brutal arsenal of nine weapons, including old favorites like the Super Shotgun and BFG, as well as cool weapons new to the DOOM universe, players engage in first-person combat with more than eight hours of action-packed gameplay. Gamers can also purchase stat boosters, such as strength and accuracy, to customize their characters and replay game levels to build up characters' abilities.

DOOM and its sequels are among the most popular PC games ever, with millions of copies sold. DOOM games are currently available for the PC and multiple console systems. The DOOM motion picture was released in the United States in October 2005 and will be released in Japan in April 2006.
