 Newswire) - Japan Airlines Group today announced its results for international and domestic traffic for the Japanese summer vacation Summer vacation (also called summer holidays or summer break) is a vacation in the summertime between school years in which students are off for 3 months, depending on the country and district.  period, stretching this year from August 11 to August 20, 2006.

 Group - based on the combined results of JAL, JALways and Japan Asia Airways Japan Asia Airways, Co., Ltd. (日本アジア航空株式会社   - carried a total of 459,059 international passengers, just 1.0% less than in the same vacation period last year.

The results showed that leisure travel to China was definitely back on the road to full recovery with passenger numbers up 38.3% on last year's figures.
