 said new products coming out later this year will boost sales.

On Wednesday, JAKKS reported net income of $6.4 million, or $0.22 per share, down from $11.6 million for the same period last year, or $0.38 per share.

The report sent JAKKS' stock down $1.76, or 9 percent, to close at $16.95.

JAKKS spent $5.4 million in the second quarter as part of the acquisition of Creative Designs International.
