JAEGGI TO BE SCIENTIFIC-ATLANTA'S CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

 ATLANTA, Nov. 20 ~PRNewswire~ -- Scientific-Atlanta (NYSE: SFA) today announced the appointment of Kenneth V. Jaeggi as senior vice president -- finance and chief financial officer effective Dec. 2.
 Jaeggi had been chairman and chief executive officer of Imagraph Corporation.
 Jaeggi will be responsible for the company's full range of financial functions. He will report to William E. Johnson, chief executive officer. Julian Eidson, controller-accounting; Charles Smith, treasurer, and Wallace Haislip, controller operations, will report to Jaeggi. Jaeggi fills the position vacated upon the death of Raymond Hartnett last year.
 "Scientific-Atlanta's businesses and markets are becoming increasingly complex, and the company is on a rapid growth path. The effective management of financial functions is of critical importance to the corporation. Ken Jaeggi is particularly well suited to lead our efforts in this area," Johnson said.
 Jaeggi has more than 20 years of experience in the financial area. Prior to his current position with Imagraph Corporation, a manufacturer of high speed products for very high resolution computer graphics applications, Jaeggi had been vice president and chief financial officer of Data General Corporation (1980-1987). From 1971 to 1980 he held various financial positions with Zenith Electronics Corporation including that of controller.
 Jaeggi is a graduate of Northwestern University and has an MBA from the University of Chicago.
