JACOBSON'S ADDS TWO NEW BOARD MEMBERS

 JACKSON, Mich., Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Mark K. Rosenfeld, chairman and CEO of Jacobson Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: JCBS), is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to the specialty retailer's board of directors.
 Effective immediately, Kathleen McCree Lewis, a partner in the Detroit-based law firm of Dykema Gossett, and James L. Wolohan, president and chief executive officer of Saginaw's Wolohan Lumber Co., join Jacobson's board.
 Lewis, whose specialty is appellate litigation, has been a partner at Dykema Gossett since 1982. A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, Lewis is a member of numerous bar associations, an American Bar Foundation fellow, and a life member of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference. She is a trustee of the Center for Creative Studies, a former trustee of Children's Hospital of Michigan and the Grosse Pointe Academy, as well as a member of the Detroit Chapter of Jack & Jill of America, Inc., and the Greater Wayne County Chapter of the Links, Inc.
 During his 15-year tenure at Wolohan Lumber Co., Wolohan has served in several capacities including director of administration, vice president and general merchandise manager and president and COO. He assumed his current position as the company's president and CEO six years ago. Prior to joining Wolohan Lumber Co. in 1978, Wolohan, who has a bachelor of science degree in engineering from Notre Dame and an MBA from the University of Michigan, spent three years at Inland Steel Company in planning and analysis.
 In addition to serving on the board of the Second National Bank of Saginaw, the Saginaw Valley State University Foundation and the United Way of Saginaw County, Wolohan serves on the board of directors of the Home Center Institute, a retail trade association based in Indianapolis.
