JACOBS TO PROVIDE MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR TEXACO REFINERY
PASADENA, Calif., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today the award of a contract from Texaco Refining and Marketing Inc. to provide maintenance services at Texaco's refinery in El Dorado, Kan.
The announcement was made by Jacobs' Group Vice President Don Boutwell, who said the two-year contract agreement will include routine maintenance and major turnarounds.
Jacobs, through its JE Merit Constructors Inc. construction/maintenance group, will provide ongoing maintenance services at the refinery in addition to constructing ongoing capital projects, Boutwell said.
Jacobs will also provide the manpower during scheduled turnaround maintenance activities, where around-the-clock work schedules ensure minimal downtime and the rapid return on-line of the refinery's most vital operating units.
"We have worked with Texaco at several locations for years and are pleased to continue our relationship with them," Boutwell said. "Our commitment to quality and safety has been rewarded by our selection by Texaco to be the maintenance contractor for the El Dorado plant."
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., headquartered in Pasadena, provides single-source consulting, engineering, design, architectural, environmental and hazardous waste management, procurement, construction, construction management, contract maintenance and operations services to government and industry worldwide.
