 JACOBS AWARDED A MAJOR UNION CARBIDE ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT
 PASADENA, Calif., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today the receipt of a contract to provide engineering services for a major $7 million environmental storage facility project at Union Carbide Corporation's plant in Taft, La.
 The announcement was made by Jacobs' Group Vice President Alvin S. Rapp who said the project follows the recent award to Jacobs for an $11 million wastewater storage project also for the Taft plant.
 New facilities for Union Carbide's Residue Tank Farm project include a tank truck loading station and supporting facilities. Residue to be transferred to the tank farm include process residues and contaminated water and flushing fluids from various industrial chemical processing units throughout the plant.
 The project will be completed in late 1992.
 Engineering services will be provided by the Jacobs' Baton Rouge, La.-Union Carbide task force. The group has received the Jacobs Quality Project of the Quarter Award for the last two quarters and Union Carbide's Supply Partner quality award.
