 International (a Jacobs subsidiary) reached a milestone for the structural topping out of the new 484,000-square-foot medical school for the United Arab Emirates University United Arab Emirates University (in Arabic:جامعة الإمارات العربية المتحدة) was established in 1976, and is the oldest . The new facility, which will serve as the center for education of local medical students, has one of the largest and most modern research laboratories in the Gulf region.

In making the announcement, David Syphard, president of CRSS International, stated, "CRSS International has worked over the past several years to develop the design-build tender and get the contract in place for construction. CRSS International is serving as the project consultant responsible for updating the design, design management of the detailed design by the contractor, selection and tendering of the furniture and medical equipment, and supervision and inspection of construction."

In addition to teaching facilities and research laboratories, the facility includes a medical library, large auditorium, computer equipped student home bases, operating theaters, maintenance shops, and administrative offices.

The facility is served by a fiber optic and satellite communication network that will allow students and faculty worldwide access to other medical facilities and personnel.
