Following consultation with the EMBI Advisory Committee, the index inclusion rules for JP Morgan's EMBI family of indices will be extended as follows: -- An instrument that is issued purely in reliance on Regulation S of the U.S. Securities Act of 1933 and not pursuant to Rule 144A will be ineligible for inclusion in the EMBI indices until it is seasoned (that is, until the expiration of the relevant Regulation S restricted period). All other index inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria are a set of conditions that must be met in order to participate in a clinical trial. are unchanged and continue to apply. If the new Venezuelan bond issue is issued with a settlement date of 5th August then it will become seasoned on 14th September. The first settlement will be after 15th September which will make it eligible for inclusion in the indices at the end of October. If the settlement date of the buyback of Venezuela DCBs and FLIRBs is 5th August then their weights will be adjusted at the end of August to reflect the new outstandings. This follows normal index rules. As of July 21: -- The DCBs and FLIRBs represented 1.2% of the EMBI Global, 1.6% of the EMBI Global Diversified and 1.6% of the EMBI+. -- Venezuela represented 3.7% of the EMBI Global, 5% of the EMBI Global Diversified and 4.6% of the EMBI+ VE.
