J.G. Petrucci Company raises $50,000 for area charities.


J.G. Petrucci Company hosted its third annual Crossing Borders awards luncheon on June 9, 2006, where more than 210 guests gathered at The Palace in Somerset Park Somerset Park is a football stadium located in Ayr, South Ayrshire.

It has been the home of Ayr United since they were founded in 1910 and it currently has a capacity of 12,128.
, NJ, to honor women in real estate and economic development from both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The annual fundraising benefits the Displaced Homemakers Network of New Jersey and New Choices/New Options in Pennsylvania. The agencies aid in transition and enhance the employability and earnings of single mothers and displaced homemakers.

Two women were honored with Community Impact Awards: Hannah Massaquoi of Warren County Warren County is the name of fourteen counties in the USA. They are named after General Joseph Warren, who was killed in the Battle of Bunker Hill in the American Revolutionary War:

Both women were honored for their dedication and involvement in the strengthening of successful economic development in their communities.

J.G. Petrucci Company raised more than $50,000 through corporate sponsorships and donations. The monies will go toward Displaced Homemakers agencies in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In addition to the award ceremony, guests heard two personal success stories from women who have benefited from the agencies' programs.

"Honoring women in real estate and economic development is the premise for the Crossing Borders event," said Jim Petrucci, founder of J.G. Petrucci Co., Inc., "but knowing that the funds we raised give more women the opportunity to succeed both in the workplace and as mothers is really special."
