 NEW SATELLITE OFFICE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
 AGOURA HILLS, Calif., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- J.D. Power and Associates today announced the opening of a new satellite office in Torrance, Calif., staffed by senior professionals from the firm's automotive, technology and tactical consulting and training practices. The office has been added to accommodate the needs of J.D. Power and Associates' clients who are headquartered in the South Bay and Orange County areas.
 "In the fast-paced information business our success will continue to be measured by our ability to serve our clients in the automotive, computer and telecommunications industries. Many of these firms are located south of Los Angeles and we need to be there," said J.D. Power III, president and founder of J.D. Power and Associates.
 One of the missions of this new location will be to serve as a home base for J.D. Power and Associates technology practice which produces the annual Computer Satisfaction Study as well as a wide variety of other marketing information products in that category. In addition, the office's proximity to its automotive clients in the South Bay area of Los Angeles and Orange counties will allow the firm to more easily facilitate proprietary projects on a person-to-person basis without having to contend with the near-impossible traffic problems posed by the 405 and Ventura Freeway logjams. The office will also provide the services of the fast-growing Tactical Consulting and Training practice.
