J.D. EDWARDS AND CAMSTAR DELIVER SEAMLESS SOFTWARE INTEGRATION THROUGH ALLIANCE WITH AMX INTERNATIONAL.

J.D. Edwards & Company (Nasdaq: JDEC), a provider of agile, collaborative solutions for the Internet economy, and Camstar Systems, Inc., a leading provider of collaborative manufacturing execution (CME) solutions, has announced the companies' seamless integration between Camstar's InSite CME solution and J.D. Edwards' OneWorld Xe collaborative commerce solution. To enable faster, easier integration between their products, the two companies announced new plug-and-play collaborative manufacturing adaptors, developed in partnership with AMX International.

J.D. Edwards and Camstar have a long-standing technology and business partnership that recently resulted in their 25th common customer deployment at AXSUN Technologies, a developer and manufacturer of photonic subsystems for optical equipment suppliers. J.D. Edwards and Camstar together serve market leaders spanning seven different industries: aerospace and defense, computer peripherals, contract manufacturing, optoelectronics, semiconductor, telecommunications and industrial fabrication.

The partnership has now produced a standard platform for communication between OneWorld Xe and InSite. The adaptors extend to include touch points across essential business functions, including work orders and changes, bill of material consumption, work order releases, bill of material maintenance and workflow maintenance. The adaptors comply with rigorous, enterprise software product guidelines to ensure compatibility between OneWorld Xe and InSite. AMX is implementing, maintaining and supporting the adaptors, including new versions and revision upgrades, thus reducing the investment required to keep interfaces current. The adaptors are expected to be available in thirty days.
