Each year, the ATA reviews safety records for a large number of for-hire and private carriers to determine which provider has the best overall highway safety performance for miles driven within the state of Arkansas. The organization selects only one carrier to receive the prestigious Grand Champion award. In 2007, J.B. Hunt drove 33 million miles in Arkansas and only had nine reportable accidents, all of which were minor in nature with no serious injuries.
