) - J-POWER has set up a local subsidiary in Thailand Thailand (tī`lănd, –lənd), Thai Prathet Thai [land of the free], officially Kingdom of Thailand, constitutional monarchy (2005 est. pop. 65,444,000), 198,455 sq mi (514,000 sq km), Southeast Asia. , J-POWER Generation, to strengthen its IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) A protocol for printing and managing print jobs over the Internet using HTTP. Initially conceived by Novell, Xerox and others, the IETF made it a standard in 2000 that includes authentication and encryption. See printing protocol and LPD.  management. To date, J-POWER has 15 projects in 6 countries; of these 9 projects are in Thailand.

J-POWER Generation will assume some of the responsibilities, including data collection and support for IPP projects in the country, previously held by J-POWER's office in Bagkok.
