"MacPherson's view is that he was a national treasure, probably more deserving of a statue in Washington than most of the generals. That's not likely to happen, but if it did, a good place for it might be in front of the Government Printing Office. It could show him peering through a magnifying glass at one of its reports, because that's where he got many, if not most, of his scoops."
