Ixia Completes Acquisition of Wireless Video Test Product Line; Acquisition Puts Ixia Into the Majority of 3G Mobile Video Labs.

CALABASAS, Calif. -- Ixia (Nasdaq:XXIA), a leading, global provider of voice, video and IP network testing solutions, today announced that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of the video telephony test products of privately-held Dilithium Networks for $5.1 million.

With this acquisition, Ixia is introducing the first product in its new IxMobile(TM) suite, a comprehensive family of test tools focused on mobile wireless conformance, interoperability, capacity, and performance testing. IxMobile Video Telephony (VT) is based on the Dilithium Network Analyzer (DNA) test product. This technology has an estimated 80% market share with over 130 installed units at more than sixty-five 3G wireless equipment manufacturers and operators.

Mobile equipment manufacturers and operators can use IxMobile Video Telephony in conjunction with Ixia's IxLoad(TM), IxChariot(R), and IxVoice(TM) products to test a wide array of IP and circuit-switched data, voice, video, and signaling infrastructures.
