Ivanov attends Summit of see leaders in Cetinje.

Gjorge Ivanov, President of the Republic of Macedonia, participated in the Summit of Heads of State of South East Europe on "Management of Heritage Diversity and Its Promotion for Tourism", which was held in Cetinje, Montenegro, on 3 and 4 June year 2009. This Summit of leaders from the region is, in fact, continuation of the Ohrid Conference on Dialogue Among Religions and Civilizations, which was initiated by late Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski.

"Cooperation of the SEE countries in all aspects of the cultural, social, economic, and political life is feasible and necessary for development, integration, and inclusion of the region in the contemporary cultural trends in the European Union," President Ivanov stressed, among other things, in his address. He noted that the Republic of Macedonia supports all projects that promote and develop cultural diversity and dialogue among cultures.

At the sidelines of the Summit, Macedonian President Ivanov held meetings with his counterparts from Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina, Filip Vujanovic and Nebojsa Radmanovic, Council of Europe Secretary General Terry Davis, and UNESCO Director-General Koichiro Matsuura.
